Best Wifi for Home and Business

Quite often we at TricycleFish get asked to recommend a good wireless router. Over the years we have recommended various wifi routers. During this time we have arrived at a personal favorite. We reached this conclusion based on performance, price, and design.

The AC Pro is a performance powerhouse and is an outstanding choice for either business or home use. It features two radios, a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz one, for dual band. The device uses the 3×3 MIMO (multiple input, multiple output = more bandwidth). The speed of the UAP is super fast and its range is exceptional. In fact, for most houses (depending on size) one access point placed in a central location will cover the entire house. For larger businesses installing multiple AC Pro access points ensures users will always receive excellent throughput and coverage.

Thanks to the UniFi Controller software that helps with the management of all UniFi devices including this one, administering the UAP-AC-PRO is a breeze. With it, you can use a single computer for the managing of all UniFi devices. The data that comes from the devices will be easily logged on the controller software instead of remaining within the devices themselves.

The design of the AC Pro is quite simple and elegant. It actually looks like a white flying saucer and is quite unobtrusive installed on a ceiling or wall. On the top of the small unit, you can find a ring that glows solid blue during the operation of the device and it can also serve as a status LED. If the LED is flashing you can easily log into the controller to check it’s status. On the bottom, there’s a removable wall-mount plate for convenient attaching to any location.

The AC Pro is also weather resistant. You may mount it outside under an overhang. You should not mount it any place that will have direct exposure to weather (rain).

We highly recommend the Ubiquiti UniFi UAP AC Pro. For the money, you just can’t beat it!
